...Local industries include pharmaceutical, brewing, and electrical appliance factories, and many other related companies. The area has also developed as a tourist destination, centering on Ohito Onsen (simple hot spring, 65°C), which first gushed forth in 1949. There is also Shiroyama, known as a rock climbing spot, a golf course with a great view located in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, and a Western Orchid Park on the banks of the Kano River.
