…After the Edo Shogunate was established, in 1617 (Genwa 3), the domain was granted a fief of 15,530 koku, but since the territory was limited to the Goto Islands, the domain's finances were in difficulty. In 1619, during the establishment of the domain's government, the Ohama Monbu Incident, an attempt to take over the Goto domain, occurred, but Goto Moritoshi, with the support of the Shogunate, executed Monbu and his gang and carried out the "Fukue Restoration" by gathering his vassals around Fukue Castle, thus establishing the foundation of the Fukue domain. After that, in 1661 (Kanbun 1), Moritoshi's third son, Morikiyo, was granted 3,000 koku of Tomie fief, which reduced the domain's fief to 12,530 koku. …
