Born on August 26, 1881. Joined Tenrikyo in 1908. In 1913, he established a branch of Tenrikyo called "Honmichi" with the awareness that he was the living god "Kanrodai" and the successor to the founder Nakayama Miki. He criticized the current state of Tenrikyo and was expelled in 1918, but founded the Tenri Kenkyukai the following year. He was arrested for lèse majesté and violation of the Peace Preservation Law, but re-established the "Honmichi" religious organization in 1946. He passed away on November 29, 1958.
