Ooppana - Ooppana

...There are many local names for this fish, such as Hidai in Iki and Tsushima, and Kodai in Kochi and Niigata prefectures. In addition, because the forehead of the adult male fish protrudes, it is called Ooppana in Tokyo and Hanadai in Choshi. Hanadai is the name commonly used to refer to this species among anglers in the Kanto region.
