Born November 22, 1899. Older brother of Omi Toshiro. After working as a silent film narrator, he ran a movie theater in Asakusa. In 1938 he became an executive at Nippon Katsudo Shashin (the predecessor to Nikkatsu), and in 1955 he became president of Shintoho. He produced hits such as "Emperor Meiji and the Great Russo-Japanese War", but resigned in 1960. In 1962 he founded Okura Eiga, which produced pink films. He passed away on September 15, 1978.
