Hironari Tajihi - Hironari Tajihi
?-739 A nobleman from the Nara period.
The fifth son of Tajihishima. In Tempyo 4, he became an ambassador to the Tang Dynasty, and the following year he traveled to Tang (China). In 7, he returned to Japan with Kibi no Makibi and Genbo. In 8, he became a councilor, then a Chunagon, and was promoted to the rank of Junior Third Rank. There are three poems in "Kaifuso." He died on April 7, 731. His surname may have been Tanjong.

多治比島の5男。天平(てんぴょう)4年遣唐大使となり,翌年唐(中国)にわたり,6年吉備真備(きびの-まきび),玄昉(げんぼう)らとともに帰国。9年参議をへて中納言となり,従三位にすすむ。「懐風藻」に詩3首がある。天平11年4月7日死去。氏は丹墀ともかく。
