Orenda-mashi - Orenda-mashi

...A small perennial plant of the Umbelliferae family that grows in the shade of bushes and in forests (illustration). It is also called Coptis japonica because the shape of its leaves resembles that of the Coptis japonica. The leaves grow from short underground stems, have long stalks, are 2-3 times trifoliate, compound, 3-7 cm long, and hairless.
