A spike fiddle, a bowed string instrument of the lute family from Iran, with a long neck that goes through the body. It has 3 to 4 strings. It has a small round sounding body covered with skin. It is used in classical music solos and ensembles, and in folk music to accompany folk songs. →Rabab
