Today in Japan it refers exclusively to the Western Mi-zakura, and in a broader sense it can also refer to the Suminomi-zakura and other varieties. Also the fruit of these. [Season: Summer] ▼Otou no hana [Season: Spring] [Honsho Wa-mei (around 918)] ② An old name for the plant Yusuraume (English peach). [Wakan Sansai Zue (1712)] [Hanshu - Shusun Tong-den] ③ Used to refer to beautiful women or the lips of beautiful women. ※Keikoku Bidan (1883-84)〈Yano Ryukei〉Later: "The two girls left the house together in joy, just as they were leaving the lotus pond to compete for the beauty of cherries."
