Oimihan

A small Fudai domain with its headquarters in Ikumi, Shimousa Province (Chiba City). The domain's lord was the Morikawa clan. During the Kan'ei era (1624-1644), the domain's founder, Shigetoshi, held 10,000 koku of land in Shimousa, Kazusa (Chiba Prefecture) and Sagami (Kanagawa Prefecture) and lived in Ikumi. Shigetoshi served as a senior councilor from 1628 (Kan'ei 5) to 1632, and committed suicide after the death of Tokugawa Hidetada in 1632. After Shigetoshi, Shigemasa, Shigenobu, Toshitane (younger chief priest), Toshitane (chief clerk), Toshinori, Toshitaka, Toshitamo (younger chief priest in Nishimaru), Toshitami (younger chief priest), Toshihira, Toshinori, and Toshikata ruled the domain for 12 generations, for a period of about 250 years. In 1871 (Meiji 4), during the reign of Toshikata, the domain was abolished, and the land of Izumi became Izumi Prefecture, then Inba Prefecture, before being incorporated into Chiba Prefecture in 1873.

下総(しもうさ)国生実（千葉市）に藩庁を置いた譜代(ふだい)小藩。藩主森川氏。藩祖重俊(しげとし)は寛永(かんえい)年間（1624～44）下総・上総(かずさ)（千葉県）、相模(さがみ)（神奈川県）のうちで1万石を領し生実を居所とした。重俊は1628年（寛永5）から32年にかけて老中の職にあり、32年徳川秀忠(ひでただ)が死ぬとこれに殉じた。重俊のあと重政、重信、俊胤(としたね)（若年寄）、俊常(としつね)（大番頭(おおばんがしら)）、俊令(としのり)、俊孝、俊知(としとも)（西丸若年寄）、俊民（若年寄）、俊位(としひら)、俊徳(としのり)、俊方と12代、約250年にわたり在封した。1871年（明治4）俊方のとき廃藩となり、生実の地は生実県、印旛(いんば)県を経て、73年千葉県に編入された。
