…Kan means a Taoist temple. Xuanmiao Temple in the city of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, is a Taoist temple founded in 276 (Xianning 2) of the Jin Dynasty. It was renamed several times and became Xuanmiao Temple in 1295 (Yuanzhen 1) of the Yuan Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Enmiao Temple to avoid the name of the founder.
