Erebos - Erebos (English spelling)

The god of "darkness" in Greek mythology. He represents the primordial darkness or the underworld. Born from Chaos, he mated with his sister, Nyx, the god of night, and gave birth to Hemera, the god of "day," and Aither, the god of the "shining heavens." During the battle between Zeus and the Titans, he sided with the Titans, and was cast into the eternal hell of Tartarus.

ギリシア神話の「暗黒」の神。原初の暗黒または冥界(めいかい)を体現する。カオス（混沌(こんとん)）から生まれ、自分の姉妹である夜の神ニクスと交わって、「昼」の神ヘメラと、「輝く上天」の神アイテルをもうけた。ゼウスとティタン神族の戦いのとき、ティタンたちに味方したため、永遠の地獄タルタロスへ落とされた。
