Erinyes - Erinyes

…the Greek goddess of vengeance. The plural Erinyes is a general term for her. She is known for her relentless pursuit of crimes against family members, especially murder.

From the Oresteia Trilogy

...The first part depicts the murder of Agamemnon, who returns victorious from the Trojan campaign, when Queen Clytemnestra conspires with her lover Aigisthos to assassinate him. The second part depicts the murder of Orestes, the prince who escaped the disaster and has now grown up, returning to Greece and reuniting with his sister Electra, who plots to murder the queen and her husband. In the third part, Orestes, who is pursued by the vengeful spirits Erinyes for his crimes, is tried by the goddess Athena in Athens. The Erinyes and Apollo argue over the relationship between mother and son and the importance of marriage, but the goddess acquits Orestes.
