1873‐1950 A French psychiatrist who belonged to the Sainte-Anne School and was active in clinical psychiatric research from around 1910 to the 1930s. He is particularly known for his "double-body illusion" or "double-body illusion" (1923) in chronic systematic delusional illness. This psychiatric symptom, also known today as the Capgras syndrome, is a type of misidentification of a familiar person as "a different person, an impostor, even though they look similar," and is rare, but is seen in schizophrenic mental illnesses, especially in women.
