…日本プロボウリング協会は1967年の設立で，女子選手の活躍がめざましく，須田開代子，中山律子，並木恵美子，81,82年国際女子ボウリング協会(WIBC)のクイーンズ･トーナメント優勝の杉本勝子らを輩出した。国際組織としては九柱戯協会などを含めて国際柱技者連盟Fédération Internationale des Quilleurs(FIQ)が1952年に設立され，日本を含め92ヵ国が加盟している(1997現在)。また，ボウリングをオリンピック大会の正式種目にすべくIOC(国際オリンピック委員会)への働きかけも行われている。…
