APL - A Programming Language

Japanese: APL - エーピーエル(英語表記)A Programming Language
APL - A Programming Language
A high-level programming language first proposed by IBM's K. Iverson (1962). This programming language is characterized by its use of expressions that are closer to ordinary mathematical expressions than Fortran, Algol, etc. However, because it uses many special symbols, it cannot be used on ordinary typewriter terminals, and requires the use of a keyboard with special keys for APL.
