Hui Chin - Echin

Japanese: 慧（恵）鎮 - えちん

...A monk from the end of the Kamakura period to the period of the Northern and Southern Courts. His pen name was Keichin. He was born in Omi Province, entered Mount Hiei, learned Enkai (the precepts of the Tendai sect) from Koen, and received the Anato-ryu esoteric teachings from Chogo.

...The head temple of the Tendai Shinsei sect in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture. The mountain name is Kaikozan. According to temple legend, Prince Shotoku founded the temple during the reign of Empress Suiko, and enshrined a statue of Amida Buddha during the reign of Emperor Tenchi, and later Saicho restored it. In 980 (Tengen 3), Ryogen restored it and practiced Jogyo Samadhi, and then Genshin also made it a training center for Nembutsu, and in 993 (Shoreki 4) in Senga, it became a Goganji temple. Later, in 1325 (Shochu 2), Keichin restored it, established the Mahayana Entonkai, and made it a Ritsu temple. Furthermore, in 1486 (Bunmei 18), Shinsei entered the temple, built over 40 Buddhist halls, and promoted Nembutsu and Entonkai. ...
