The French national school of fine arts. It is located on the Rue Bonaparte in Paris. It was the first school when education, which had been offered at various royal academies before the Revolution, was unified into the Collège de Quatre Nations. In 1820, Debrée was commissioned to build the building that stands today. There are two types of ateliers: one is located on campus and is for professors appointed by the minister. The other is a free classroom located outside the campus, where professors are selected by the students. Every year, various competitions are held and various prizes are awarded, but the most famous is the Prix de Rome, which gave 19th century artists the opportunity to study in Rome.

フランス国立美術学校。パリのボナパルト街に位置する。大革命前まで各種の王立アカデミーで行われていた教育が，コレージュ・ド・カトル・ナシオンに統一されたのが最初。 1820年に今日の建物の建築がドブレに委嘱された。アトリエは2種類あり，一つは大臣の任命による教授のアトリエで校内にある。他の一つは校外に設置されている自由教室で，教授は学生によって選ばれる。毎年各種のコンクールが行われ，各種の賞が与えられるが，19世紀の芸術家たちにローマ遊学の機会を与えたローマ大賞は著名。
