A national park in the southwest of North Island, New Zealand. Established in 1900. Area: 335 km2 . A volcanic landscape with Mt. Egmont at its center. Valleys are carved on all sides from the summit. The mountainside is covered with subtropical forest, and alpine plants can be seen in the upper part.
