Battle of Eikyou Yamato

At this time, conflicts between the monks and citizens in central Yamato expanded, and when the Tsutsui clan joined the Shogunate's punitive forces, the Ochi clan of Asuka joined forces with the remnants of the Southern Court to oppose them, leading to a 10-year war between the North and South of Yamato (the Eikyō Yamato War). Tsutsui and Ochi joined the central political circles and advanced as feudal lords.
