Japanese: 右翼運動 - うよくうんどう

A political and social movement that placed the Emperor System above all else and had a tendency towards nationalism and foreign aggression. The Genyosha of the Meiji period gave birth to the Black Dragon Society, the Ronin Society and others, who advocated Greater Asianism. With the rise of democracy and socialism in the Taisho period, it took on a stronger anti-socialist tone. In the Showa period, national socialist and fascist groups were born and played a major role in strengthening the wartime regime by allying with the military. It went into temporary decline after World War II, but was revived after the San Francisco Peace Treaty of 1951.

明治期の玄洋社からは黒竜会・浪人会その他が生まれ大アジア主義を唱えた。大正期，民本主義・社会主義が勃興すると反社会主義の色彩を強めた。昭和期に入ると国家社会主義的・ファシズム的団体が生まれ，軍部と結んで戦時体制の強化に大きな役割を果たした。第二次世界大戦後，一時衰退したが，1951年サンフランシスコ平和条約以後復活した。
