A legendary figure in wife disputes. He fought with Chinuotoko over Unaiotome, who lived on the southern foot of Mt. Rokko in Uhara County, Settsu (Hyogo Prefecture). The maiden committed suicide, lamenting their quarrel, and the men followed her. The Man'yoshu includes waka poems by Otomo no Yakamochi and others based on this story.
