Causal determinism

…This is the idea that the same type of cause always produces the same type of effect, and is known as the causal principle or the law of causation. The worldview that asserts the universal validity of this causal principle is called causal determinism. Aristotle's assertion that "everything that moves is moved by something else" is one example.
