A deity enshrined at Hirano Shrine (Kita Ward, Kyoto City). The "ki" in "Imaki" is a phonetic kanji for "rai," meaning a deity worshipped by newly arrived people. Originally, the deity was worshipped by immigrants who settled in Imaki, Takaichi County, Yamato Province (Nara Prefecture). He was considered the ancestor deity of Takano no Niigasa (of Baekje descent), wife of Emperor Konin, but during the reign of Niigasa's son, Emperor Kanmu, he was enshrined in his current location and later became the clan deity of the Taira clan.
