Japanese: 五日市街道 - いつかいちかいどう

A road in the west of Tokyo that branches off from Umabashi (Suginami Ward) on the Ome Highway and reaches Akiruno City. It is an important road that runs east to west through the Musashino Plateau, passing through Musashino City, Koganei City, Kodaira City, Kokubunji City, Tachikawa City, Fussa City, and other cities, and has led to the development of new rice fields along the road. There are still zelkova forests along the road. In recent years, urbanization along the road has been remarkable.
