…In 1868 (Meiji 1), the Hyogo Court (which would soon become Hyogo Prefecture) was established in the former Tenryo of Settsu, and Kumihama Prefecture was established in the former Shogunate territories of Harima, Tajima, and Tamba. The Tadashi-Fuchu Court was also established in Ikuno, which was soon incorporated into Kumihama Prefecture, but in 1869 it was separated again to become Ikuno Prefecture. Also in 1868, the Fukumoto Domain was established, but in 1870 it was annexed by the Tottori Domain. …
