…An English dynasty that ruled over 245 years under eight reigns from Henry II to Richard II. 1154-1399. The name of the dynasty comes from the Latin name of the broom plant, planta genista, which Geoffrey, Count of Anjou, Henry II's father, always wore in his helmet. It is also called the Anjou dynasty.
