The central area of the former Oshika Town, located in the southeast of Ishinomaki City in eastern Miyagi Prefecture. Former town name. A fishing port at the tip of the Oshika Peninsula, also called Ayukawahama. Formerly a whaling base. Regular ferries run to Kinkazan, Ajishima, Ishinomaki, etc. The terminus of the Oshika Cobalt Line and the center of Minamisanriku Kinkazan Quasi-National Park.
