The central area of the former Oshika Town, located in the southeast of Ishinomaki City in eastern Miyagi Prefecture. Former town name. A fishing port at the tip of the Oshika Peninsula, also called Ayukawahama. Formerly a whaling base. Regular ferries run to Kinkazan, Ajishima, Ishinomaki, etc. The terminus of the Oshika Cobalt Line and the center of Minamisanriku Kinkazan Quasi-National Park. 宮城県東部，石巻市の南東にある旧牡鹿町の中心地区。旧町名。牡鹿半島先端の漁港で，鮎川浜ともいう。かつては捕鯨基地だった。金華山，網地島，石巻などへ定期船が通じる。牡鹿コバルトラインの終点で，南三陸金華山国定公園の中心。
