Also called Tamanoya no Mikoto, Toyotama, Ame no Akarutama, Kushiakarutama no Kami, etc. He is the ancestor of the people who make jewels for use in rituals. He made the Yasakani no Magatama for a festival to invite Amaterasu Omikami out of the cave of heaven. He also accompanied Amaterasu Omikami on her descent to earth as one of the five companions.
