Rabbit flea - Rabbit flea

The blood-feeding physiology of the flea is unique to that of the European rabbit flea, whose mating and egg-laying cycles coincide with the host's reproductive cycle, and are governed by gonadotropic and steroid hormones secreted from the pituitary gland in the host's blood.
