Astral body

...It is said to be a cloud of light that surrounds the body, with a thickness of several centimeters to nearly 1 meter, and is usually only visible to psychics. In the scientific field, it has been studied in relation to Kirlian photography and Reich's orgone energy, and in the religious field, it has been studied as a key to understanding the halo of saints and the astral body (the spiritual body that surrounds the material human body). Scientific experiments on the aura began with Walter John Kilner (1847-1920), who devised the ``dicyanine screen,'' which consists of two glass plates spaced 1/8 inch (about 0.3 cm) apart and filled with an alcoholic solution of the photosensitive dye dicyanine.
