...This refers to aggregates such as sand, gravel, crushed stone, etc., and a small amount of stone powder (filler) mixed with asphalt emulsion and then heated, or compacted. It is also called ascon for short. It is mainly used for road paving, and is also used for waterproofing the surfaces of embankments, etc.
