In the Middle Ages, Wachi Manor was located in the Ninnaji Temple territory, and Ajo Sansho Shrine, which was enshrined as the guardian deity of the manor, was located in Honjo. Later, the local lord, Katayama, enshrined it in Sakahara and Shimoawano. In the Edo period, it was the territory of the Sonobe Domain, and waterways were dug to develop Negoro Shinden and other areas. ...
