Asahi Heigo

Right-wing ronin. Terrorist. Born in Saga Prefecture. In 1916 (Taisho 5), he participated in the Second Manchuria-Mongolia Independence Movement and wandered around the continent, moving from one newspaper company to another, making a living as a thug right-wing reporter by committing intimidation. After returning to Japan, he plotted to establish a nationalist organization and a labor hotel. The labor hotel would claim to provide relief for poor urban workers, and would be funded by donations from wealthy people. However, his plan was ignored, so in September 1921 (Taisho 10), he prepared a letter of execution called "Death Scream" and met with Yasuda Zenjiro of the Yasuda Zaibatsu, stabbing him to death and then committing suicide. He can be said to have been a pioneer of attacks on business leaders during the fascist era.

右翼浪人。テロリスト。佐賀県生まれ。1916年（大正5）第二次満蒙(まんもう)独立運動に加わるなど大陸に放浪し、おもに新聞社を転々、ごろつき右翼記者として脅迫を事とした。帰国後は国粋主義団体や労働ホテルの設立を画策。労働ホテルは都市貧窮労働者の救済を標榜(ひょうぼう)し、資金は富豪の寄付で賄うとされた。しかし計画は相手にされず、「死ノ叫声」という斬奸(ざんかん)状を用意して1921年（大正10）9月安田財閥の安田善次郎に面会、これを刺殺すると同時に自殺を遂げた。ファシズム期の財界人攻撃の先駆といってよい。
