Aktau [mountain] - Aktau

...The lowest point is 132m below sea level in the Karagiya Depression near the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea, and there are also dried-up lake beds at around -30m in various places. The highest point is Mount Aktau (922m) in the Tamdytau mountain range, which rises like a peneplain in the Kyzylkum Desert. The Turan Depression is known to have oil and natural gas deposits, and a gas pipeline runs from the Gazli natural gas field (about 100km northwest of Bukhara), where mining has already begun, to Moscow.
