Violet root rot

Japanese: violet root rot(英語表記)violetrootrot
Violet root rot

...Affected plants lose vitality above ground, the leaves turn yellowish brown and fall off, and when the roots are dug up they are covered with a mesh-like layer of white or purple mold. There are two types of white root rot, white root rot and violet root rot, but it is difficult to tell the difference between the two just by looking at the above-ground parts. The fungus that covers the roots invades the tissues, preventing nutrient absorption and water from rising, causing the entire plant to wither and die.
