Pacifica

...These mountains are the present-day Appalachian and Caledonian fold mountains where the Atlantic Ocean opened up again. In the Pacific Ocean, the marginal seas opened and closed on both the eastern and western edges during the Paleozoic Era, and it has been proposed that the mythical supercontinent Pacifica, which is thought to have existed in the Southern Hemisphere, broke into pieces and moved, being added to the eastern and western continents one after another. The basis of the Wilson cycle idea is that plate tectonics existed in the Paleozoic Era or even earlier.
