Uraeus

...But had two cities, one was the sacred city with the temple of Wadjet, and the other was the royal capital of Horus, where Isis purified Horus and prepared him for the battle against Set as the successor of Osiris. Wadjet became the sacred serpent Uraeus as the royal deity of Northern Egypt by combining with Osiris, and shone on the crown of the pharaoh as the immortal guardian deity. The red crown, inherited from Neith, became the eternal symbol of the kingship of the Lower Egyptian Delta region.
