Torroja, E. (English spelling) TorrojaE

...The expression of irrationality through rationality, as exemplified by the Sagrada Família, and architecture that speaks to the viewer, have been attracting worldwide attention in the second half of the 20th century. Although 20th century Spanish architecture was interrupted by the tragic civil war (1936-39), it produced world-class engineers and architects such as Eduardo Torroja (1899-1961) and José Luis Sert (1902- ), and since the 1960s, along with the country's economic development, young architects have been attempting a series of unique experiments in line with international trends.
[Sculpture]
After ancient Iberian sculpture and Roman sculpture in the provincial period, sculpture in Spain, like that in other European countries, was revived during the Romanesque period as an adjunct to architecture.
