Kaizuka Ibuki (Sabina chinensis Ant.cv.Kaizuka) - Kaizuka Ibuki (English name) (= Juniperus chinensis L.cv.Kaizuka)
It is a horticultural variety of the evergreen conifer Juniperus juniperus (illustration) of the cypress family, widely planted in warm regions. It grows to a height of 5-15m, with a thick, upright but twisted trunk. The branches grow densely and at an angle, giving the tree a flame-like shape. Like the shape of the Juniperus juniperus, it usually has only scale leaves and no needle-like leaves. It is resistant to dryness, sea breezes, and air pollution, grows well in sandy soil, and can be planted in the shade despite being a sun-loving tree. It also tolerates pruning, so in recent years it has become widely used as a greening tree or hedge in factories and roadside greenery, and in residential areas.
