French poet and occultist. Born in Lombardy, died in Altville. He published three books of mystical poetry, "The Migratory Bird" (1881), "Black Graces" (1883), and "The Mystical Rose" (1885), and contributed to the study and revival of occultism. He was originally a student of E. Levi, but later became independent and devoted himself to the reform of the Rosicrucian order. His works in this field include "At the Gate of Mysticism" (1886) and "The Temple of Satan" (1892). [Iwaya Kunio]

フランスの詩人，オカルティスト。ロンバルディアに生まれ，アルトビルに死す。3冊の神秘的な詩集《渡り鳥》(1881)，《黒い美神》(1883)，《神秘の薔薇（ばら）》(1885)を発表して，オカルティズムの研究と再建に貢献する。はじめE.レビの弟子であったが，のちに独立し，薔薇十字団の革新のために尽くす。この方面の著作には，《神秘の門出に》(1886)，《サタンの神殿》(1892)などがある。【巌谷国士】
