Meanwhile, Berlin-style operettas began with "Fraudulente Luna" (1899) by R. Lincke (1866-1946), and were written as simple operettas full of satire and vitality. After World War II, more than 130 operettas were composed between 1948 and 1965 due to the re-import of American musicals.
