Lwow (English spelling)

…It is close to the border with Poland and is famous as an ancient city. As its name Lemberg in German and Lwów in Polish indicates, it has been ruled by several countries, including Russia, Austria, and Poland. The city has a long history and was recorded as a city in the Gálic-Volyn'i Chronicle in 1256.
