...It is believed to be near present-day Jambi. It is also written as Malayu. In Chinese classics it is written as Malayu or Malayu, and the Chinese Buddhist monk Yijing wrote that it was either annexed by the neighboring great kingdom of Srivijaya or that its capital was moved there.
