Marduk-apla-iddina (English spelling)

At that time Assyria had come to dominate all of Mesopotamia, but Marduk-baladan appears in Assyrian sources as a powerful Chaldean chieftain who was troubling Assyria toward the end of the reign of Tiglath-pileser III (reigned 744-727 BC).
