Kamo no Mabuchi's theory on poetry. 1 volume. One of the "Goikou." The clean copy was completed in 1764 (Meiwa 1), but the draft was completed around 1760 (Horeki 10). It was published 98 years after Mabuchi's death (Kansei 10). It was originally called "Uta no Kokoro." There is also a Hiroban version with more content than the printed version, and there are parts in common with "Nihimanabi," but it is thought that "Nihimanabi" was created by extracting and reorganizing parts of the Hiroban version. It develops a unique theory on poetry by linking it to the ancient ways, explains "sincerity" and "tune," and emphasizes the significance of the Manyo style. It outlines the Manyoshu and gives an overview of the essence and history of waka poetry.

賀茂真淵(かもまぶち)の歌論書。1巻。「五意考(ごいこう)」の一つ。清書本は1764年（明和1）にできているが、草稿は60年（宝暦10）ごろまでに成る。真淵の没後98年（寛政10）刊。元来は『歌意(うたのこころ)』とよばれた。版本よりも内容の多い広本もあり、『にひまなび』と共通する部分があるが、広本の一部を抄出し、整理し直して『にひまなび』としたと考えられる。古道と結び付けて独特の歌論を展開し、「誠(まこと)」「調(しらべ)」を説き、万葉調の意義を強調している。『万葉集』の輪郭を述べ、和歌の本質や歴史に対する概観もみえる。
