Mekran (English spelling)

…the name of the mountainous region along the Arabian coast that straddles Pakistan and Iran. The Iranian side is called Mekran. It consists of several Tertiary folded mountain ranges running parallel to each other in an east-west direction, narrow river valley plains between them, and small plains along the coast.
