Pastries made with folded puff pastry include mille-feuille, which is made by stacking about three layers of baked dough, sandwiching cream or jam between them, and decorating the top with powdered sugar, chausson, which is made by cutting an oval shape of dough, placing fruit or jam in between, folding it in half, and baking it, palmier, which is made by rolling the dough into a heart shape and slicing it thinly from the small end and baking it, leaf pie, and cornet, which is made by rolling the dough into a cone shape, baking it, and filling it with cream. A typical example of a pastry made with folded puff pastry is apple pie, which is filled with candied apples flavored with cinnamon.
