[Medical examination method]
Traditionally, health checks were conducted to find specific diseases (such as tuberculosis) in a population (this is called case finding), but nowadays, screening for high risk people and simultaneous screening for multiple diseases (multiphasic screening) are used. Health check methods include medical examinations by a doctor, laboratory tests (blood, urine, X-rays, electrocardiograms, etc.), interviews (by doctors, public health nurses, etc.), and questionnaires (surveys).
