notturno

Japanese: notturno
notturno

...The number of movements varies from three to ten, and often includes marches before and after the entrance and exit of the musicians, and several minuet movements. The "orchestral serenade" is particularly close to the symphony, and the term serenade was often used synonymously with divertimento and notturno (night song, nocturne), so the outline of the genre is not always clear. Famous in this field are works by Heinrich IFvon Biber (1644-1704), Boccherini, and especially Mozart.
